While searching last week, I found that Bing was adding in page titles to ads similar to how Google uses callout extensions. Today, Matt Umbro spotted the test as well and reached out on Twitter to see if it was widespread. Currently, the page titles are showing up under the ads and are a reminder to make sure your page titles are optimized. it’s worth mentioning that Bing does a lot of search engine layout testing and this could potentially disappear soon. Interesting, Bing isn’t showing the page title character for character. This particular page had a bullet as a separator — ( • ) which doesn’t show in the page title snippet under the ad copy.

Have you seen this in your searches? Do you think that Bing is rolling out a similar functionality to Google’s callout extensions?
