John Doherty spotted a new format for in-depth articles on mobile searches. He posted the image on Twitter while searching for something a bit different.
For the query ‘money’, Time Magazine is currently getting a new side-scrollable format for in-depth articles. It reminds me of the old carousel format from local search that went away late last year.
I was able to recreate the results by searching ‘money’ on my iPhone in Safari. There were 12 articles in total — all partially matching the original query. All of the articles were from Time.
Have you seen anything similar in mobile search? This is likely a testing format for in-depth articles with Google’s new focus on mobile search.
