Google Map Packs may be getting a new look (again) with this test from Google. Spotted today, I found this test subtle but enough to make me notice the font-weight and different icon design. To be honest, it doesn’t remind me of Material Design nor does it remind me of the “card” tests that Google is running. However, Google may be looking to test design elements like this one-at-a-time to prevent too much confusion about the search design layouts.
