Spotted this today while doing searches for some of my hotel clients. Google Local search results are now showing “Good Deal” with a dollar amount under $25 the market rate. I wonder how Google is determining the “market rate” for any given area given that many hotels do not participate in Google Hotel Price Ads.

The result was also highlighted in green and ranked slightly lower than the other hotel listings above the fold. The query was “North Myrtle Beach hotel” and was done in a Google incognito search.

Have you see anything similar? Let me know.
