Availability Posts Where Demand Hangs Out

Destination Facebook groups are full of travelers literally asking for open dates — post your availability there on a rhythm and organic social becomes a booking channel, not a brand exercise.

The play

  1. Join every group where your guests plan trips

Search the destination + “vacation rentals,” “things to do,” “last minute.” Join as yourself and as the page where allowed. Answer the screening questions honestly — group admins in tourism towns can smell a spammer through the screen.

  2. Learn each group’s rules before posting

Some allow business-page shares, some only personal profiles, some have a weekly promo thread. The rules are the play — operators get banned for skipping this step, not for participating.

  3. Post availability as helpfulness, not advertising

The format that works: a great photo, the specific dates (“June 14–18 just opened at our creekside cabin — sleeps 8”), the real price, the direct link. In groups where people ask “anyone have something for next weekend?”, a specific answer IS the content.

  4. Publish on the page first, then share into groups

Post availability and property content to your business page, then share it into relevant groups about once a week per group. The page gets the engagement history; the groups provide the reach.

  5. Show up between promos

Answer the “best pizza near the beach?” questions. Groups tolerate sellers who are also neighbors — and members start tagging your brand under every request for a place to stay, which is the real endgame.

  6. Track it like a channel

Tag the links (or use a dedicated landing path) so you can see group traffic in analytics. One drive-market operator we work with sees roughly a fifth of all site traffic from organic social — nearly all of it this play — second only to direct.

  7. Reach the same audience with ads, compliantly

When a dominant destination group (some run 200,000+ members) won’t allow business posts, don’t fight it: participate authentically within the rules, and run interest-based Meta ads in parallel — the ad system already folds group membership and engagement into its interest data, so you reach the same travelers without touching the group’s toes.

What to expect

Timeline
Immediate — the demand already exists in the groups; you’re just showing up with supply.
Effort curve
Manual forever, by design. Automation tools get accounts banned; 30 sincere minutes a week doesn’t.
Good result
Gap weeks filling from group posts, members tagging you unprompted, and organic social earning a line in your source-of-booking report.
