Travelers search “best cabins in [town]” and click roundups — so publish the definitive roundup yourself and fill it with your own inventory.
Build the list: best cabins in [town], best [town] rentals for families, best pet-friendly cabins near [landmark], cabins with hot tubs in [town]. Any “best + property type + place” combination with volume is a candidate. One page per query family.
The ranking listicles are usually 10 generic blurbs and stock photos from someone who’s never seen the properties. You have what they don’t: real photos, real guest reviews, real availability. Plan 8–12 entries with specifics.
For each property: a real photo, the one thing that makes it distinctive (“the only creekside cabin with a private hot tub in [area]”), sleeps/beds/baths, a guest review pull-quote, and a direct link to book it. Specificity is what earns the ranking and the click.
Include a short buying guide up top: who each pick is best for (couples, big groups, pet owners). It reads as genuinely helpful — because it is — and it captures the long-tail variations in one page.
Mark the roundup up as a numbered list with clear H2s per property, and close with 3–5 FAQs (“What part of town should I stay in?”). This is the structure both Google and AI assistants prefer to cite.
Link each entry to its property page, link the roundup from your homepage and relevant blog posts, and link related roundups to each other (“traveling with pets? See the pet-friendly list”).
When your market makes news — a restaurant wins a Michelin star, a beach tops a national ranking — publish the roundup version within days (“Every award-winner in [town], mapped”). News-hook listicles earn links and rankings evergreen timing never will.
Search your own market’s “best [property type] in [town]” right now. If you’re not on page one, that page is your next content project — brief it this week.
