Default Google Ads Ad Group Set Up

Here’s the default/standard Google Ads ad group setup process I often use when building new Vacation Rental targeted search ads.

Typically starting with 5-15 keywords – if you’ve got more than that, you probably need a new ad group.

Extensions #

Extensions are critical! Almost every ad group we build should be able to get:

  • Sitelink extensions
  • Callouts
  • Structured Snippets
  • Phone Calls

We typically are NOT able to get/offer:

  • App extensions
  • Lead form (homeowner campaigns are the exception)
  • Price extensions (rates change too often)

Sometimes we’re able to add:

  • Promotion extensions

Budget depends on the client, but if unsure, start at $5/day or $10/day.
