Here’s how we create staging sites on Cloudways for either Guest Hook new builds or BuildUp Bookings new builds. We don’t need any DNS records to setup a staging server: Cloudways give us a temporary domain that we can use while in staging.
Navigate to the BuildUp Bookings primary server:
Add a new application: https://platform.cloudways.com/server
Add the following settings:
Replace clientdomain.com with the name of the clients final / live domain we’ll be using.
Once done, you’re ready to go! Cloudways gives you a temporary/staging URL and the login is here in the application overview:
Once you have this staging information, paste into the Basecamp task: temporary domain, login URL, username and password.
